Blair Freshwater

Executive Director
Blair Freshwater, executive director

Blair has an extensive background in senior living and most recently served as the Director of Rehabilitation working hands on with residents at Signature Pointe. She was promoted to executive director in 2022. For Blair, working at Signature Pointe is not a job, it’s a passion. Her philosophy is to stay committed to the residents’ quality of life.

Serving as a social worker for more than 13 years equipped Sandi with the knowledge and foundation to move into the Administrator role at Signature Pointe. Sandi loves serving as the patient advocate and supporting residents and their families with compassion and empathy.

Yalonda’s favorite thing about serving the Signature Pointe community is the strong sense of “family” she feels toward our residents and her fellow team members. Most residents know her by name, and she enjoys taking time to chat with people in their rooms or just passing in the hallways. Yalonda feels blessed to make a positive difference in the lives of our residents.

Elizabeth “Liz” Wrenholt

Director of Rehabilitation
Elizabeth Wrenholt

As Director of Rehabilitation, Liz enjoys working with the geriatric population and their families. Being a speech-language pathologist for 15 years across multiple settings has equipped her with the skills to best facilitate speedy rehabilitation. Liz and her therapy team work hard to make sure that each resident reaches their highest level of independence in order to safely return home.

Chrissy Bushee

Social Worker
Chrissy Bushee Social Worker

Chrissy enjoys helping residents and their family members set goals and obtain the healthcare services they need while serving as a patient advocate. She identifies residents’ needs, then helps them access services that best meet those needs. She supports new long-term care residents by helping them adjust to their new community and provides support based on care assessments.

Amanda Oertwich

Amanda’s passion is to work with seniors and be able to make a positive impact in their lives. She credits having amazing grandparents that instilled a love and admiration for seniors that continues to grow to this day.

Neil Burum

Patient Navigator
Neil Burum Patient Navigator

Neil helps residents navigate their healthcare needs after they have been discharged and return home. His focus is to ensure that residents have the care and support they need to prevent hospitalization. Having pastored churches for the past 36 years, Neil understands the importance of being an active listener and a caring advocate. It energizes him to provide support and promote the well-being of our residents.

Shonna Rives Director of Activities

As Director of Activities, Shonna loves interacting with our residents and getting to know them on a personal level. Once she understands what makes them happy, she finds unique ways to keep them active and engaged with other residents in our community. For Shonna, spending time with residents and building meaningful relationships with them is a never-ending source of joy.

Heather Garner

Heather Garner Director of Business Development

As Director of Business Development, Heather represents our senior living community in area hospitals, visiting with patients to discuss the advantages of being a resident at Signature Pointe. She’s been with Signature Pointe for six years, and her close relationship with her grandmother led to her passion for serving seniors.

D’Ann meets with residents and their family members prior to their stay at Signature Pointe and helps them transition smoothly from the hospital to our community. Her favorite thing about Signature Pointe is the comradery among the staff and the positive way in which that transcends into the care of our patients and residents.

Violanda Reed

Violanda Reed Business Office Manager

One of Violanda’s favorite things about working at Signature Pointe is visits from residents just stopping by to check in on her. It’s this type of interaction that makes all the challenges of her job worth it. From addressing financial concerns to helping residents with life in general, Violanda is here to listen and help our Signature Pointe residents with anything they need.

Dr. Ketan Patel, MD

Medical Director
Dr. Ketan Patel portrait

Dr. Ketan P. Patel is a geriatrician in Dallas, Texas and is affiliated with multiple hospitals in the area, including Dallas Medical Center and Select Specialty Hospital Dallas. He received his medical degree from B.J. Medical College in Ahmedabad, India. Dr. Patel has been in practice for more than 20 years, providing specialized care in the unique health needs of the elderly.

Dr. Henry Allen, MD, FHM

Medical Director
Dr. Henry Allen portrait

Dr. Henry Allen is a board-certified internal medicine physician and is affiliated with various hospitals in the Dallas area, including Medical City Dallas and Baylor Heart Hospital of Plano. He is currently the Medical Director of Utilization Management at Baylor Heart Hospital of Plano. Dr. Allen is the founder and managing partner of Hospitalist Internists Associates, a group of 19 hospitalist physicians. His medical degree was obtained from the Medical School of Hannover in Germany.

Tamika Massey

Human Resources

Tamika has worked in the senior living industry for 20+ years. She loves serving seniors and enjoys holding an impactful role with her team. Her sense of humor is the absolute best, and she loves to see the staff and residents smile. Making their day makes her day!

Ricky Weeks

Director of Plant Operations


Ricky’s mission is to properly monitor equipment and improve community efficiency, quality, and safety. His motto: Teamwork makes the dream work!

Adrienne Brown

Director of Independent Living

With an educational background in gerontology, Adrienne’s love for seniors has always been apparent. She loves being able to enrich the lives of residents while helping them maintain their independence.

Julie Morgan-Hart

Community Relations Director

Julie loves providing seniors and their families with an award-winning community experience. Her parents had her late in life, and she is thankful for the old-fashioned values they instilled in her. She is honored to get to know each resident and hear their amazing life stories!

Roshanda Smith

Infection Control Preventionist

Roshanda loves her job because she protects residents and healthcare personnel from infection. She does this by providing the necessary tools and proper education to prevent and control the spread of infectious diseases in our community.

Brenda Burnell

Assisted Living Activity Director

With nearly four decades dedicated to the joy and well-being of the senior community, Brenda has had the privilege of crafting countless moments of happiness and engagement. Her journey has been fueled by a deep passion for creating a vibrant, supportive environment that offers new opportunities for residents to thrive every day.

Jewell Byrd

Dietary Manager/Executive Chef

Jewell is a graduate of Escoffier Culinary Arts School and has worked in the senior living industry for 16 years, with experience in independent living, assisted living, and memory care. Her food is delicious, and she brings so much joy to the community with her food.

Alisia Johnson

Director of Assisted Living

Alisia is a licensed vocational nurse (LVN) with extensive experience in memory care and clinic operations. She previously served as an Assistant Director of Nursing for our community in memory care and acute rehabilitation. She is also the personal caregiver to her mother Bessie Burks, and wouldn’t have it any other way.

Our patient navigator personalizes the wellness experience for residents at Signature Pointe.
